The mission of the Pinellas County Schools Library Media Technology Department is to support teaching and learning in PCS classrooms and media centers by providing access to diverse information and technology resources, literacy processes, fostering a passion for reading and inquiry, and managing the library media budgets and purchasing processes.

Florida's Education Commissioner and the Library Youth Program have created “Find a Book." Students can build customized reading lists based on their interests and reading abilities, and then locate their selections at local public libraries or Barnes & Noble bookstores.
