Summer Bridge registration will open Tuesday, March 25, after Spring Break
Additional information coming soon
Please note changes to 2025 Summer Bridge eligibility:
Summer Bridge programs will focus on helping students address academic challenges and continue to address achievement gaps.
- Elementary school programs are only for students who have shown a demonstrated need for extra support in reading based on state reading criteria. Schools will be communicating to families over the next few weeks if their students are eligible for this year’s Summer Bridge program.
- Middle school programs are focused on credit recovery.
- High school programs concentrate on helping students meet graduation requirements.
Summer Camp info: The district is strongly urging parents of eligible students to register their children for Summer Bridge when the registration period opens. Families can apply for PCS Summer Camps Feb. 19-March 9. We are expanding camp opportunities and offering options in June and July. This year, camps will have a cost of $75 per session and a rate of $25 per session for students eligible for free- or reduced-price meals.
Interested in Prekindergarten programs over the summer?
Rising Kindergarten programs will be offered at Summer Bridge sites throughout the county. Rising K is for students registered for PCS kindergarten for the 2025-2026 School Year. The program is focused on preparing children for kindergarten and does not have the same eligibility requirements as other elementary programs. Learn more at www.pcsb.org/RisingK.
For families and students who have not yet utilized their VPK voucher, Summer VPK will be centralized at the Bette Ra Ivey Discovery Center, 8570 66th St N, Pinellas Park.
