    The mission of the Pinellas County Schools Library Media Technology Department is to support teaching and learning by providing equitable access to high quality information and technology resources, fostering a passion for lifelong reading and inquiry, and professionally managing Library Media district programs, budget and professional development.

  • Florida's Education Commissioner and the Library Youth Program have created “Find a Book." Students can build customized reading lists based on their interests and reading abilities, and then locate their selections at local public libraries or Barnes & Noble bookstores.

    Pinellas County Schools supports and promotes National Library Month in a variety of ways. The theme of this year's nationally celebrated observance is "Libraries Transform." Click on the video link below and see how we are transforming our media centers across the district.
  • The Pinellas Association of Library Information Specialists is a professional organization for Pinellas County media specialists. Their goal is to work together to support each other and to advocate for school libaries.
