• Dr. Michael A. GregoWelcome to Pinellas County Schools! It is a pleasure to serve as your superintendent.

Pinellas County Schools is committed to growing greatness with each and every child. We are increasing our focus on ensuring that every child is challenged to exceed their own expectations.

I am proud of our students' academic, artistic and athletic achievements and our dedicated teachers who challenge students to do their best every day. It is an honor to serve in a district that provides so many opportunities.

We offer a wealth of educational choices, including 70 application programs suited to students’ interests, talents and abilities. We provide dozens of career-focused programs, ranging from culinary arts to criminal justice. Students of all ages have opportunities to participate in award-winning arts and music programs that prepare them to be well-rounded citizens. We continue to launch exciting and innovative programs based on feedback from our families.

Pinellas County Schools offers STEM magnet or career programs at all grade levels. The district also provides 250 before- and after-school STEM Academies for students in grades 2-12. STEM Academies offer students opportunities to participate in engineering design challenges, explore STEM careers and use technology to enhance their understanding of the world.

Pinellas County Schools is also committed to offering opportunities to extend learning beyond the classroom. We have implemented several programs that provide more time for instruction and offer a variety of online resources to support learning outside of the classroom.

We also offer personalized learning opportunities at many schools, where learning is tailored to how each student learns best.

This is just a sampling of the many opportunities we provide to help ensure that our students are prepared for college, career and life.

I hope you find our website a valuable tool to learn more about Pinellas County Schools and stay connected with your child’s education.

    Michael A. Grego, Ed.D.
