Summer Bridge - Middle School Program

  • Register for most Summer Bridge Programs at https://reservation.pcsb.org

    The school district may need to create new bus stops to accommodate students who enroll after Monday, May 24. 

    • If children can be accommodated on an existing bus stop, they will have transportation Day 1.
    • However, if a new stop needs to be created, transportation will be provided, but it may not be available until a few days after Summer Bridge begins.

    Course recovery courses will also be offered to eligible students in math, science, social studies and language arts.

    Math, Reading, Science and Social Studies Remediation 

    For students currently in grades 5-7. Prepare for success for next school year
     
    The Summer Bridge Middle School Program helps students develop and strengthen skills in math, reading, science, and social studies. The program provides individualized instruction in core subjects, using a blended model of technology, small group instruction, manipulatives, hands-on labs and project-based learning. Activities will include  virtual field trips, financial literacy lessons and STEM challenges.
     
    Participating in Summer Bridge will put students on a stronger path to success when the 2021-2022 school year begins.  
     
    New this summer: Students will have the opportunity to participate in elective programs. Options will vary by school.
     
    Transportation available to your zoned middle school! In alignment with School Board policy, regular transportation is provided for eligible middle school students attending their zoned school. Students who live more than two (2) miles from the school are eligible for transportation.
     
    Free Breakfast and Lunch Available!

    Dates: June 21 – July 15 (Schools closed July 5)

    Note: Clearwater Fundamental, East Lake, Madeira Beach and Lealman Innovation students will need to attend and register for Summer Bridge at their zoned school.
     
    Summer Bridge assignments are made to your child’s current or designated school.

    Accelerated Math Prep - Virtual Course

    PCS is offering virtual prep courses to ensure that middle school students are successful in their algebra and geometry courses next school year. Accelerated course options include: Algebra 1 and Geometry. Students will work at their own pace with support from a PCS certified math teacher.
