School Board approves two district-level administrators

School Board members approved the appointment of Tzeporaw Sahadeo as Director of School Transformation at their regular meeting on Tuesday. Ms. Sahadeo, Principal of Sandy Lane Elementary School, has also served as a teacher and an Assistant Principal in Hillsborough County, an Instructional Leader/Principal for Florida Virtual Schools in Orlando, a Director of HOPE Educational Opportunities, and an Educational Consultant/Staff Developer with Marzano Center, Learning Sciences International. Ms. Sahadeo earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology, a master’s of Public Health degree in Health Policy and Programs, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida. Her appointment is effective July 1.
The School Board also approved Carlmon J. Jones as Manager of Talent Acquisition. Mr. Jones, an Assistant Principal at Pinellas Park Middle School, began his employment with Pinellas County Schools in 1998. He has served as a substitute teacher, a classroom teacher at Lakewood High School, and an Assistant Principal at Dixie Hollins High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from North Carolina Central University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the Nova Southeastern University. His appointment is effective June 26.
