Students from Boca Ciega High School will host a book signing for The Lincoln Cemetery Chronicles on Thursday. The students wrote the book to raise awareness about the Lincoln Cemetery, a historically African-American cemetery.
The book signing will take place in Boca Ciega’s Center for Wellness and Medical Professions auditorium on Thursday, June 15 at 6:30 p.m. and will include a tour of the cemetery.
The Tampa Bay Times featured the students’ accomplishment in a recent article.

When it opened during the segregation era in 1926, the cemetery served as the main cemetery for St. Petersburg's black population.
Dr. Alicia Isaac, who taught the young writers, edited The Lincoln Cemetery Chronicles.
