Jamerson Elementary teacher recognized for excellence in aviation education

Music teacher Marie Hill of Douglas L. Jamerson Jr. Elementary Center for Mathematics and Engineering received the Ray Lien Award Aerospace Educator of the Year Award. The award was presented at the Sun 'n Fun International Fly-In & Expo Aerospace Educators' Workshop earlier this month.
The annual award recognizes an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to aviation education.
Aviation educator Ray Lien established the workshop in 1988.
Hill incorporates her love of space into her music instruction. She integrates sights and sounds of the solar system into her lessons and shares her enthusiasm for space with her students.
