Two mini fairs scheduled to help families choose the right school

Families will have the opportunity to attend two fairs this month to explore schools and find the right educational fit for their children. The fairs will feature a total of 28 elementary and middle schools at two locations:
Tuesday, May 21, 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Largo High School, 410 Missouri Ave, Largo
- Belleair, Belcher, Frontier, Fuguitt, High Point, Oakhurst, Ponce de Leon, Ridgecrest, Southern Oak, and Walsingham elementary schools
- Azalea, John Hopkins, Largo, Meadowlawn, Morgan Fitzgerald, Oak Grove and Tyrone middle schools.
Thursday, May 23, 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Dunedin High School, 1651 Pinehurst Rd., Dunedin
- San Jose, Garrison-Jones, Dunedin, Sandy Lane, Kings Highway, Elisa Nelson, Eisenhower and McMullen-Booth elementary schools
- Dunedin Highland, John Hopkins, and Tarpon Springs middle schools
Themed programs at the schools include the performing and visual arts, gifted studies, journalism, international studies, Cambridge Pre-AICE and the Center for Literacy Innovation for students with dyslexia or a specific pattern of reading difficulties.
Representatives from each school will provide information about their schools, activities and programs. Staff will be on hand to help families register for school and guide them on how to apply for special programs.
