Through Our Eyes: Midtown and Beyond photo exhibition a success

Jan. 14, 2020

The opening night of the Through Our Eyes: Midtown and Beyond photo exhibit was a success as students, parents and the community spent the evening at Studio@620 in St. Petersburg.  Students in the district’s Center for Journalism and Multimedia Studies at Melrose Elementary, John Hopkins Middle and Lakewood High shared more than 100 photos. They also interviewed St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman and Louis Murphy Jr., Gibbs High School’s head football coach and former Tampa Bay Buccaneer.

The community can view the students' work at Studio@620. The community is also invited to join students at the Taste of the City at 5 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 16 at Studio@620. This event will include a “popup” session using cell phones to make a good video.
