Take the 2020 Census
March 6, 2020
Ensure that schools and students receive the proper federal funding.
This month, homes across the country will receive invitations to complete the 2020 U.S. Census. You can respond online, by phone or by email.
The Census is important. It helps determine federal dollars for states, cities and counties. In Florida, it guides $44 billion for programs throughout the state. An undercount could cost our community millions of federal dollars each year for education, health care, highways and more.
Pinellas County Schools receives federal funding for school breakfast and lunch programs, after-school programs, special education, and the Head Start preschool program. We also receive funding to support students who are learning English and students who are experiencing poverty or homelessness.
Federal funds help ensure that all children have access to a well-rounded education.
Any personal information you provide is confidential and cannot be shared with anyone or any other federal agency. Please complete the Census. Your participation matters!
Counting all children is essential for our schools to receive the proper amount of funding. Learn more at www.pinellascounty.org/census2020.
