Become a Pinellas County Schools mentor

Sept. 14, 2020

Pinellas County Schools is looking for community members who are willing to serve as mentors for the 2020-21 school year. All mentoring will be done virtually using Zoom. If a student is attending MyPCS Online, mentoring will begin on Oct. 5. For those who have returned to a district school building, mentoring will start Oct. 26.

It’s simple and rewarding to become a district mentor. Those interested must attend a 60-minute virtual mentor workshop. Get the workshop schedule. You will then need to register online and obtain a free Level 1 background screening.

One of the ways individuals, businesses, and community organizations can be impactful and transformative is to support students and schools who need us most. Mentors can be a positive impact on a student’s academic, social and career path.

For all returning mentors, please join us for a Virtual Mentor Coffee Hour where you can meet with other mentors, share stories, ideas, challenges and network. The virtual event is 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 Tuesday, Sept. 29. Register for the Virtual Mentor Coffee Hour.

For more information, or to become a mentor for Pinellas County Schools, please contact Michelle Roberge at (727) 588-6405 or robergem@pcsb.org.
