Request to change second quarter Learning Options update

Oct. 7, 2020

Pinellas County Schools continues to make the health and wellness of our students and staff a priority and meets regularly with our Medical Advisory Group to ensure all decisions are made with the latest available medical data.

As we enter the second quarter, our doctors continue to emphasize the importance of wearing mask/face coverings and providing social distancing to the greatest extent possible within classrooms.

If you are pleased with your current learning option, no action is necessary at this time.

If you would like to change your child’s learning option, please complete the form linked below. The deadline to receive a priority ranking for review has passed. Submissions received before October 7 are being reviewed and scheduled based on available instructional staff at each school. Once that review is complete and schedules have been drafted, change request submissions received on or after October 7 will be reviewed in the order in which they are received.

All decisions regarding requests to change a learning option will keep the health and wellness guidelines set forth in the district’s ReOpening Plan at the forefront.

All families who submitted a change request prior to October 7 will be contacted by school-based staff regarding your request no later than the week of Oct. 19.
