PCS announces Support Employee of the Year semifinalists

The semifinalists in the 2020-2021 Support Employee of the Year recognition program were named for Pinellas County Schools. They were selected from a group of 146 nominees.
Semifinalists for 2020-2021 were chosen in five categories:
Classroom Support
•Tue Tran, Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Elementary, Bilingual Assistant I
•Jeanette Rios, Anona Elementary School, Paraprofessional
•Tammi Risk, Azalea Elementary School, Medical Behavior Assistant

Clerical
•Bettye Newsome, Thurgood Marshall Fundamental Middle, Bookkeeper I
•Brandi Newton, Seminole Middle School, Secretary III
•Yolanda Simmons, Boca Ciega High School, Secretary II

Food Service
•Thomas Mungall, Safety Harbor Middle School, Food Service Manager IV
•Allison Dexter-Boyer, Palm Harbor Middle School, Food Service Assistant
•Pamela Clark, Douglas Jamerson Elementary School, Food Service Specialist

Maintenance/Safety/Health/Transportation
•Penny Bouchard, Cypress Woods Elementary School, School Security Officer

On Dec. 4, a top winner in each category will be announced. The five category finalists will be eligible to become the district's overall winner as the 2020-2021 Support Employee of the Year. The overall winner will be nominated as the district’s representative for the Florida School-Related Employee of the Year. Achieva Credit Union sponsors the district’s Support Employee of the Year recognition program.
