Clearwater Fundamental Middle School artwork chosen for state exhibit
Jan. 5, 2021
Seventh-grader Eva Kohler's artwork, titled “Beach Fun,” was selected as the Pinellas County Schools winner of the 2021 Art in the Capitol Competition.
The Art in the Capitol Competition is a statewide visual arts competition for students in grades 6 through 8. Each school district holds an annual art competition, with artworks judged by a committee of art teachers. Winning artworks from each school district will be displayed in the state Capitol during the regular legislative session from March 2 to April 30.
Before winter break, Eva and her art teacher, Karen Santangelo, had the opportunity to meet State Rep. Nick DiCeglie and deliver her winning artwork to his office in Largo.
