Annual ESE Parent Survey is underway

Feb. 1, 2021

Take the Florida ESE Parent Survey graphic It is time for the Florida Department of Education’s Exceptional Student Education Parent Survey.

Each year, the department surveys parents of students with an individual education plan (IEP) who receive special education services to determine how well schools are promoting their involvement in their children’s education.

If your child receives special education services, make your voice heard. Take the ESE Parent Survey.

Feedback helps the state and the school district improve educational services for children with special needs and their families.

The survey is confidential, but Pinellas County Schools receives overall results and improves ESE services based on parent feedback. As a result, the district created a helpline to assist families with navigating special education services and implemented options to make ESE Advisory Committee Meetings accessible to families throughout the county.

Parents can take the ESE Parent Survey at www.esesurvey.com or complete a paper survey distributed by their child’s school. The survey closes May 31. If you have questions or need a paper survey, contact Tracy McMannus at 727-588-6062 or MCMANNUST@pcsb.org.
