Student artwork selected for exhibit at the Morean Arts Center

March 31, 2021

Congratulations to the students and their art teachers for having artwork chosen for the 2020-2021 Word & Image exhibit.

The works of art will be on display at the Morean Arts Center through April 4.

The students attend schools that begin with the letters N-W. In-person and online students in grades 3-5 created original works of art with personal writings that conveyed this year’s theme: “What the World Needs Now.” Seventy-four works of 2-D art were accepted.

The Morean Arts Center is located at 719 Central Ave. in St. Petersburg. Artwork can also be viewed online in the PCS Student Virtual Art Gallery.

A virtual awards ceremony was held on March 27. The Top Award-winning students, their families and art teachers were invited to the Morean to receive their awards in-person.
