Palm Harbor University High School program recognized nationally
June 23, 2021
Project Lead the Way has chosen Palm Harbor University High School as a 2020-2021 PLTW Distinguished High School for its Center for Wellness & Medical Magnet Professions: Biomedical Program. This is the third year in the last four years that PHUHS has received this recognition.
The school is one of 204 programs nationwide to receive the honor. The CMWP is an academically rigorous program that engages students in hands-on activities and projects that empowers them to solve real-world challenges and grow as individuals.
PLTW empowers students to develop and apply in-demand, transportable skills by exploring real-world challenges. Through its pathways in computer science, engineering, and biomedical science, students not only learn technical skills, but also learn to solve problems, think critically and creatively, communicate, and collaborate. PLTW also provide teachers with the training, resources, and support they need to engage students in real-world learning.
