PCS teacher recognized for her work as an exemplary educator of multilingual students

Adriana Eifert, an ESOL teacher at High Point Elementary, has been selected as a WIDA Fellow for the 2021-2022 academic year. She will collaborate with other expert teachers to improve and develop professional learning resources.
Mrs. Eifert was nominated “for her outstanding commitment, selflessness and countless hours of work and dedication to the success of each and every English learner and their families," said Dr. Natasa Karac, Director the district's English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) department.
The program was established in 2019 to:
- Recognize the contributions of excellent teachers.
- Leverage their expertise to provide guidance and feedback in the development of WIDA professional learning.
- Create a collaborative professional learning community of expert practitioners and WIDA professional learning specialists.
WIDA is an organization that provides language development resources to support the academic success of multilingual learners.
