Artwork by Evelyn Allen, a seventh-grader at Thurgood Marshall Middle, was selected for exhibition in the state Capitol. Evelyn was the Pinellas County Schools winner of the 2022 Art in the Capitol Competition.
The statewide visual arts competition is for students in grades 6 through 8.
Each school district holds an annual art competition, with artworks judged by a committee of art teachers. Winning artworks from each school district will be displayed in the state Capitol during the regular legislative session, which takes place Jan. 11 through March 11, 2022.
Congratulations to Evelyn Allen and her teacher, Elizabeth De La Torre!
