Ten employees earn Leadership U certificates

April 26, 2022

The Professional Development department recently hosted the Leadership U graduation ceremony.

The graduates earned their certificates by attending five Leadership U classes that sharpened their skillsets, as well as four additional mandatory classes and two electives. Participants created and implemented a Leadership Cycle project based on an issue at their sites. They collaborated with others to develop plans to solve the problems. District and site-based leadership also attend the program to support the group.

Leadership U develops leaders from throughout the district. The program includes learning about Pinellas County Schools' Mission and Vision, developing personal and professional smart goals, understanding the leadership cycle process, and developing and implementing a worksite project.

Leadership U is for both instructional and support employees.  Interested employees should look for the Leadership U program application starting in the October issue of Chalk Talk.

Congratulations to our newest Leadership U graduates!
