She was one of three Pinellas students to earn national recognition in the competition. The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is the nation's longest-running and most prestigious scholarship and recognition program for young artists and writers in grades 7-12.

The competition returned to Carnegie Hall earlier this month for the 2022 National Awards Ceremony. Nearly 450 creative teens attended the event.

Event highlights included a performance by singer/songwriter and television host Kelly Clarkson; a keynote speech from television host and rapper Nick Cannon; and remarks from actress, author and game show host Mayim Bialik.

Proud Dunedin High Principal, Jim Kiblinger, also attended the ceremony.
