67 PCS students receive prestigious Scholar Awards from Cambridge International Education

The awards recognize their outstanding performance on the June 2022 Cambridge examinations.
Thirty-eight students at Hollins High, 16 students at Clearwater High and 13 students at Tarpon Springs High earned these prestigious awards.
More than a million students study Cambridge International programs in over 160 countries. Cambridge International is part of the University of Cambridge.
The awards recognize the talent, dedication and commitment of our students and staff.
“It is a great pleasure to honor students and teachers in the Pinellas County School District for their exceptional work in Cambridge courses and examinations. These results are a testament to the impressive talent of students and teachers in Pinellas, and it is a delight to celebrate their success, " said Mark Cavone, Cambridge International Regional Director for North America. Students from Pinellas should be very proud of their hard work this year. I speak for all of us at Cambridge International as I wish them every success in the coming year.”
The Scholar Awards have three categories:
- Scholar Award: 3 or more Cambridge International AS (Advanced Subsidiary) and A (Advanced) exams with grades of C or higher
- Scholar Award with Merit: 3 or more Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education exams with grades of B or higher; or 3 or more Cambridge International A/ AS exams with grades of B or higher
- Scholar Award with Distinction: 3 or more Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education exams with grades of A or higher; or 3 or more Cambridge International A/AS exams with grades of A or higher
The University of Cambridge, Cambridge Assessment International Education partners with schools and districts around the world with a shared goal of making education transformation a reality. High schools across the U.S. now utilize the Cambridge Advanced program. This program is part of an internationally benchmarked program that allows students to earn college-level credit in high school.
