Pinellas County Schools to honor 15 Outstanding School Volunteers
March 20, 2023
The top volunteers for 2023 will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 29, at the district's annual Outstanding School Volunteer breakfast at Feather Sound Country Club. There are approximately 30,000 volunteers who have donated nearly 400,000 hours of volunteer service so far this school year to promote student success and academic achievement in the district.
The Volunteer of the Year from each category – youth, adult and senior – will be announced at the breakfast. Those three winners will represent the district in the state competition.
The event will include musical entertainment by PCS students from the Ruth Eckerd Hall CJH jazz combo as well as a few words of congratulations from Superintendent Kevin Hendrick and School Board member Carol Cook. Gary Regoli, president and CEO, will speak on behalf of Achieva Credit Union, the event’s title sponsor. The district’s volunteer program is managed by the Office of Strategic Partnerships.
