Countryside Assistant Principal receives Young Educator Alumni Award

As part of its Distinguished Alumni Awards Program, the University of South Florida has awarded Countryside High School Assistant Principal Brad Bernstein the 2023 Young Educator Alumni Award.
The award recognizes graduates of the College of Education who serve as exemplary leaders and role models in the field of education among their peers and in their communities. Nominees must have graduated from USF in the past 10 years and be 35 years old or younger.
Bernstein graduated with a degree in Physical Education from USF in 2010 and his master’s in education, leadership and policy studies in 2014. He began his teaching career with Pinellas County Schools in 2010 at Calvin A. Hunsinger School, where he taught physical and health education to middle and high school students with extreme behavioral disorders and varying ability levels. In 2014 he became an assistant principal at Boca Ciega High School and in 2018 moved into his current role as Assistant Principal for Curriculum and the ISTEM Magnet Coordinator.
Bernstein will be recognized at the Distinguished Alumni Awards 2023 reception on Wednesday, May 3 at 5 p.m. in TECO Hall in the College of Education building.
