The 2023-2024 school year is in full swing, which means it’s not too early for students to start thinking about college scholarships. Several organizations have upcoming deadlines, including the following opportunities:

Positive Coaching Alliance Tampa Bay

The Positive Coaching Alliance is offering up to 25 $2,000 scholarships to college-bound high school seniors playing for a high school team or in club sports. The Triple-Impact Competitor Scholarship Program deadline to apply is Oct. 6. A Triple-Impact Competitor makes positive contributions on three levels: makes oneself better (Personal Mastery), makes teammates better (Leadership) and makes the sport better (Honoring the Game). Take Stock in Children

Take Stock in Children is now accepting applications for college scholarship opportunities for students in grades six through nine. TSIC scholarships are awarded to Pinellas County public school students with demonstrated financial need (students must be on the school’s approved free/reduced lunch plan). Students are expected to maintain good grades, behavior and attendance and stay drug- and crime-free. Parents must agree to support the educational goals of the student and maintain good communication with the school, among other expectations. The deadline to apply is Nov. 1, 2023. Pinellas Education Foundation

The Pinellas Education Foundation provides more than 100 college and technical school scholarships to more than 300 high school seniors throughout Pinellas County, based on criteria established by the Foundation and its sponsors. Scholarships range in focus from arts and science to sports and community service. Many are based on financial need. PEF scholarship applications are available from Sept. 30, 2023 to Jan. 31, 2024.
