The Pinellas Education Foundation is accepting applications for the Walker’s Rising Stars Scholarship Competition. The casting call is for high school juniors and seniors in the following categories: Instrumental, Theater, Dance, Vocal Performance and Visual Arts.
The program also includes a Culinary Arts competition presented by the Ryan Wells Foundation. Students interested in the Culinary Arts category should contact the Ryan Wells Foundation at 727-787-7863.
During the program, students hone their audition, portfolio and performance skills while competing for scholarships.
The competition and awards show are managed and produced by the Pinellas Education Foundation in partnership with Pinellas County Schools.
The initiative was created by Bay Area neurosurgeon, Dr. Jeffrey Walker, and the Pinellas Education Foundation. The deadline for virtual submissions is midnight on Oct. 15. Learn more and apply at https://pinellaseducation.org/wrs.
