Paul B. Stephens hosting job fair for Medical/Behavioral Assistants
Oct. 9, 2023
Paul B. Stephens Exceptional Student Education Center has several vacancies for Medical/Behavioral Assistants. This is a life-changing career opportunity as MBAs help ensure students’ needs are met so they can develop their highest individual level of independence.
The school is hosting an on-site job fair from 9 a.m. to noon on Oct. 16. The fair will include computers to complete an application, on-site interviews, a meet and greet with Principal Katie Csaszar, and staff and campus tours.
“The MBAs at Paul B. Stephens work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to provide support for students and their unique learning needs," said Csaszar. "They are instrumental in helping students make progress with their communication, academics, and independence. MBAs play a critical role in the lives of students. They make a difference every day."
This position requires either a high school diploma and a passing score on the Praxis Para-Pro assessment or 60 college credit hours. An MBA provides instructional support for students with medical or behavioral disabilities under the direction of one or more Exceptional Student Education (ESE) teachers or may work with students with disabilities in general education classes under the direction of one or more general education teachers.
MBAs are full-time Pinellas County Schools employees who receive benefits as well as summers and weekends off. For more information or to begin the application process, fill out the application here.
