Word & Image Exhibit showcases more than 70 student artworks

The 26th annual exhibit highlights original artwork created by students in grades 9-12. The exhibition encourages students to combine artwork and writing in one unified piece. This year’s theme is “The Hero I Know.” High school students created works of art and composed personal narratives related to the theme.
Seventy-three artworks were selected from 131 submissions.
The artworks will be on display at the Morean Arts Center through Dec. 2. The center is located at 719 Central Ave. in St. Petersburg. The public can also view the student artwork online by visiting the PCS Student Virtual Art Gallery.
