Boca Ciega High School has officially been revalidated as an AVID National Demonstration School.
AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) takes students with the potential and determination to go to college and supports their academic success in the rigorous courses required for admission into four-year universities.
AVID Demonstration Schools undergo a rigorous validation process and are required to be revalidated every few years to ensure high levels of implementation. The AVID team that visited Boca Ciega High was impressed by the systems and collaborative learning processes in each classroom.
Boca Ciega High School implemented the AVID program in 2006 and was first selected as an AVID National Demonstration School in 2017.
