Palm Harbor University High School students win top awards at NextGenTech360 finals

A Palm Harbor University High team won the 2023-2024 NextGenTech360 competition for an AI-driven fitness app.

The New2Fit app was created by three Palm Harbor University High School students, Ajitesh Busireddy, Leonard Seto Jr., and Ryan Qu. The app, created for fitness beginners, includes a gym finder, a partner finder, an AI exercise form checker, and a goal tracker. The students won $10,000 to develop their app further. They also had a 30-minute pitch session with Kevin Harrington, one of the original Sharks from the “Shark Tank” TV show. 

NGT360 gives students opportunities to develop products, learn leadership skills, and work with business mentors from across the Tampa Bay area. The program was established nine years ago by a nonprofit called Connect-IT 360 in partnership with the Pinellas Education Foundation. The 2023-2024 competition started with 31 teams and 125 students. Another team from Palm Harbor University High called Shelf Sense took third place in the competition. 

Connect-IT 360 praised the New2Fit team.
