Three Pinellas seniors awarded scholarships from Florida Prepaid College Plans

Three Pinellas County Schools students have been awarded scholarships from Florida Prepaid College Plans.

The School Board recognized the scholarship winners at its regular meeting on Tuesday.

Each student will receive a college scholarship valued at $8,000 from Florida Prepaid College Plans. 

Congratulations to our three scholarship recipients: 

  • Chanel Williams, a senior at Lakewood High School with a 4.42 GPA. Chanel plans to attend the University of South Florida.
  • Mackenzie Rivers, a senior at Largo High School with a 4.0 GPA. Mackenzie plans to attend St. Petersburg College.
  • Annalise O'Brien, a senior at Dunedin High School with a 4.38 GPA. Annalise plans to attend the University of South Florida.

PCS partnered with Florida Prepaid to promote the open enrollment period for its prepaid college plans. PCS was one of several districts to participate in the partnership. Mackenzie was unable to attend the meeting.
