Pinellas County Commissioners unanimously approved a resolution to place the Pinellas County Schools Referendum on the Nov. 5 ballot.

The one-mill property tax would recruit and retain quality teachers and support staff; preserve music, art and reading classes; and provide current technology. An independent committee would continue to oversee Referendum spending.

Voters first approved the PCS Referendum in 2004.
