Alana Hogan, a recent graduate of Gibbs High School, was named Best Dancer at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, known as the Jimmy Awards.
Her award, presented by The Shubert Organization, came with a $2,500 scholarship. She was recognized for excellence in dance and movement.
In May, Alana won the Broadway Star of the Future Award for Best Performance at the regional competition. She represented the Straz Center at the national competition on June 24.
Alana plans to attend Florida State University in the fall and major in musical theater.
