Pinellas County is hosting an Open House for high school students interested in participating in the Pinellas County Youth Advisory Committee (YAC).
The committee is a partnership between the Pinellas Board of County Commissioners and the University of Florida/IFAS Extension 4-H Youth Development. The goals of Pinellas YAC are teaching youth leadership and citizenship skills, serving as the voice of Pinellas youth, and exposing members to potential careers in government and other fields. YAC members will have access to resources within county government and research-based youth development from the University of Florida and 4-H.
An Open House/Meet and Greet with County Commissioners and past YAC members will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 21, from 5 to 6 p.m. in the 5th Floor Board of County Commissioners Conference Room at 315 Court Street in Clearwater.
Anyone unable to attend the in-person meeting may attend via Zoom.
