Champion of Education and education partners honored at the ChangeMakers Breakfast

The Pinellas Education Foundation hosted the seventh annual ChangeMakers Breakfast on Friday, Sept. 6, at the Hilton St. 
Petersburg Carillon Park. 

Business and community leaders, foundation donors, elected officials, and district and school leaders attended the event, which celebrates business and community support of the foundation and Pinellas County Schools. 


The event honored longtime public education advocate Beth Rawlins with the Champion of Education Award and Executive 
Director of Education Mike Feeney with the Impact & Innovation Award. Shy’Yonna Parris, a 2024 St. Petersburg High graduate 
and Take Stock in Children Scholarship recipient received the ChangeMaker Award. Board member Carol Cook was also recognized for decades of service to Pinellas County students.

The event featured performances by Lakewood High School guitarists and the John Hopkins Middle School Dance Ensemble.
