Pinellas County Schools is inviting the community to suggest names for three facilities
Sept. 16, 2024
The district is considering names for the new Southern Oak Elementary/Walsingham Elementary campus, the Employee Child Care facility and the new Leadership Center.
Southern Oak and Walsingham elementary sites will combine to offer a new K-8 school. The new school is slated to open in the 2025-2026 school year.
The Employee Child Care Program, which opened this summer, is available to all full-time, benefit-eligible Pinellas County Schools employees with children 1 to 3 years old. The facility, formerly known as Pinellas Secondary School, requires a new name.
The Leadership Center, currently under construction, will provide professional growth opportunities for employees working in the district and the surrounding community. The center is targeted to open in July 2025.
The deadline to submit suggestions is 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, 2024.
