Thompson were recognized by the Florida Art Education Association for achieving the highest levels of professionalism in the field. Castleman won the Pearl Krepps Legacy Award. Ogle won the Supervisor/Administrator of the Year Award. And Thompson won the Adaptive Arts Educator Award.
East Lake High School art teacher Nate Greenwood also earned the Functional Ceramic Award for his “Skull Pitcher Set” in the FAEA Members’ Exhibition.
As part of the 2024 Shine Mural Festival, about 80 art teachers from across the state collaborated to paint an FAEA mural. The project, which graces the Bell Pharmacy in St. Petersburg, was led by PCS art teachers Dwyane Shepherd and Brian McAllister.
Congratulations to all of our dedicated and talented arts educators!
