Pinellas County Schools announces Support Employee of the Year
Dec. 6, 2024
Andrew Tremblay, Head Plant Operator at Tarpon Springs Middle School, was named 2024-2025 PCS Support Employee of the Year today.
Tremblay and other Support Employee of the Year semi-finalists and finalists were recognized at the Support Employee of the Year awards luncheon at Feather Sound Country Club today.
Tremblay joined the district in 2013 as a Plant Operator at Curlew Creek Elementary School and quickly progressed to a Head Plant Operator at Tarpon Springs Middle School, where he has worked since 2016.
"I have a real sense of pride every time I step foot on the campus to know that this is my community school," said Tremblay after he was named a finalist. "I live in the area and I want to make sure that all of our stakeholders here are being well taken care of, and they come to a beautiful campus that's well maintained."
Safety is a top priority for Tremblay, who exudes positivity and actively fosters connections with staff and students.
"We deal so much with safety and security here at the campus, and I take a real pride in making sure that our students and our staff here are safe."
Tremblay loves supporting everyone on campus and is focused on doing everything in his power to ensure the students have what they need to learn and teachers have what they need to teach.
Tremblay has also been dedicated to honing his leadership skills. He has taken various courses to improve his computer proficiency and foster a positive school culture. He also participated in an intensive school district program called Leadership University, which involves an in-depth project, multiple leadership classes, and a major commitment of time and energy.
Tremblay will be nominated as the district’s representative for the Florida School-Related Employee of the Year.
