Pinellas County Schools Police Department has announced the 2024-2025 police and safety officer awards. The award winners were honored at the May 13 School Board meeting. The awards recognize officers and campus support staff for exemplary efforts to protect students and staff and provide positive learning environments.
Congratulations to this year's award winners!
The Michael A. Hawkins School Resource Officers of the Year:
- Tarpon Springs Police Officer Matt Geer, who serves Tarpon Springs Fundamental Elementary School
- St. Petersburg Police Officer Pam Settle, who serves Northeast High School
The School Safety Officer/Guardian of the Year:
- Kaitlyn Diou, who serves Lynch Elementary School
The Jesse Dorsey Campus Activities Monitor of the Year:
- Shineice Beamon, who serves Carwise Middle School
The award winners will be honored at an upcoming School Board meeting. We are grateful to them and the rest of the dedicated nominees.
