IGNITE NYC INTENSIVE

The Ignite NYC Intensive is a referendum-funded Student Experience available to PCS high school theater students. Students have many options when it comes to theatrical summer intensives and training, summer camps, and BFA preparatory programs offering packages, but these often cost thousands and thousands of dollars. It is not an exaggeration to estimate that some families spend upwards of $5000+ per summer on training and enrichment experiences for their student interested in auditioning for BFA programs across the country and beyond. Pinellas County Schools Performing Arts Department is creating this program to help ensure all of our theatre students have an opportunity to receive training and coaching on their audition materials from both local and national instructors, and experience the industry standard itself: Broadway Theatre in New York City.

Spring/Summer 2024

March 2, 2024 – Pre-Summer Workshop #1

April 6, 2024 – Pre-Summer Workshop #2

May 11, 2024 – Pre-Summer Workshop #3

July 18-22, 2024 – Broadway Student Summit 2024 (NYC)

Broadway Student Summit is all day
