The Executive Internship Program (EIP) embodies some of the best elements of both traditional and contemporary approaches to education. EIP is a marriage of the theoretical and the practical, combining the best elements of classroom theory with actual experience in the world of professionals; it is an academically oriented education based on experience.

Through the Executive Internship Program, students are assisted academically and experientially in developing skills which promote self-directed learning, self-awareness, goal-setting, creative problem solving, and cross-cultural sensitivity. EIP represents a strong response to the present day search for expanded educational options.

    PSAT

The Preliminary SAT (PSAT) is a valuable tool for students.  Pinellas County Schools pays for all 9th and 10th grade students to take the PSAT in order to evaluate the skills that each student has developed in critical reading, mathematics and writing based on nationally normed data.  The PSAT is an effective way for students to start getting ready for the SAT and provides personalized feedback about their academic strengths and weaknesses, which leads to stronger preparation for life beyond high school and greater success in college and careers.

In addition to providing this test free of charge to all 9th and 10th grade students, we strongly encourage 11th grade students to pay the small fee to take the PSAT.  This is the final opportunity to take the PSAT and it is the only year that the PSAT results are considered to qualify a student to be recognized as a National Merit Scholar, Hispanic Scholar, or Achievement Scholar.  These three recognitions all award significant scholarships for eligible students who meet the criteria and complete the requirements.  For more information, contact the PCS Advanced Studies office at (727) 588-6466.

    Night School - Credit Recovery

Students who have received a "D" or an "F" grade for a course may recover the credit and receive forgiveness for the poor grade. This option is available for many academic courses. Upon completion of credit recovery, the new grade of "C" or higher will replace the old grade and will boost the students' cumulative grade point average. Credit recovery is an online, school-based, after-school program available at no cost. Students work at their own pace. Students should contact their school counselor to get registered.

The lab is open Monday - Thursday from 2:00pm - 6:00pm in the Clearwater Adult Education Building.

Please don't let your grade point average prevent you from graduating or losing acceptance to your choice university. Register today!
