WHO we are

The Theatre Department is a community of actors, singers, dancers, and technical specialists who bring the art of theatre to life on our stage.  Students choose a track in acting, musical theatre, or technical theatre, depending on their interest and talent.  We guide students on their journey to become the best actors and designers that they can be.  Our students spend the day with like-minded peers who enjoy theatre and are dedicated to the art.

WHAT we do

The Theatre Department provides students with a combination of performance-based and technical skills necessary to become well-versed in the art form.  In-depth study of acting, singing, stagecraft, costume, lighting, sound, theatre history, and stage management provide students an immersive experience that is not often found at the high school level.  Individualized instruction allows each student to chart their path towards their career goals.  Travel opportunities locally as well as New York City and London give students further insight into the professional world of theatre.

WHERE do you go next

Students are prepared to be competitive for auditions and scholarships for major conservatories and universities for Theatre.  While the department prepares students to pursue these opportunities, some students use the skills they have learned in the arts to seek college and university admission in fields outside of the arts.  Colleges seek out students with arts backgrounds for admission in all fields of study. 

We have many graduates who perform on Broadway and in touring productions of musicals all over the world.
