PERT Information
-
The Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (PERT) is the placement test Florida uses to determine whether students are ready for college-level course work.
The PERT consists of three sections: Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. This is an adaptive test, which means the questions are chosen based on your answers to previous questions. Each section consists of 30 questions and typically takes three hours to complete all three sections, although all assessments are untimed, so you have as much time as you need to consider each question before submitting your answer.
You will not be allowed to bring a calculator with you. However, for certain questions, a pop-up calculator will be available for your use on the computer screen. Your scores will be available immediately after each assessment.
PERT scores are valid for two years.
