    Mark Carter:  Varsity Head Coachcarter

    Coach Carter is going into his 4th season as the head coach at Palm Harbor University.  The last two seasons, the boys basketball team has put together back to back double digit win seasons for the first time in 10 years at Palm Harbor.  In the 2013-2014 season, the Hurricanes reached the state playoffs for the third time in school history and for the first time in 10 years.  That year they also finished with a 16-11 record which was the 2nd most wins in school history.

    He has spent the previous four years as the head coach at Calvary Christian High School in Clearwater, Florida. While at Calvary, he coached the team to the “Sweet 16” of the FHSAA State Playoffs in 2010 and in 2011. In 2011 Calvary also won the Bay Area Conference Championship under his leadership.
    Coach Carter has also spent the last 6 years as an assistant coach with NIKE Team Florida which is an elite travel team. Mark has also worked at basketball camps across the country that include Michael Jordan’s Flight School in California and in Pistol Pete’s Basketball Camp in Clearwater.
    Playing Career:  Clearwater Christian College, 1997-2000.



    Tony Paradise:  JV Head CoachTony Paradise

    Coach Paradise is entering his 8th year coaching basketball.  This is his 3rd year on the PHUHS staff and first as JV Head Coach.  Prior to coaching at PHUHS, he was the JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant at Calvary Christian High School in Clearwater from 2009-2012.

    Coach Paradise graduated from Florida Air Academy in 2001 where he was a member of their nationally ranked basketball program.  As a high school player, his teams went 60-4 and won the 2001 Class 3A State Championship with an undefeated record.
