PALM HARBOR BOYS’ LACROSSE
Est. 2018
Welcome to Palm Harbor Boys Lacrosse. We are entering our 7th Varsity season in 2025. If you are interested in playing lacrosse, get a stick and start learning the basics of catching and throwing on your own or with a friend. We have a JV program, which offers players who need to develop their skills before competing at the Varsity level. There is a level of frustration that comes with the development phase, as it is truly about the number of repetitions you get throwing and catching. Do not be discouraged, as this is something every player goes through. The more reps you get the faster you will develop and advance to intermediate level. Once you have reached that level you can participate for the Fall and Winter League teams. We also, participate in a Winter Tournament as the Spring season approaches.
Playing multiple sports is ENCOURAGED. You are only a high school athlete for 4 years of your life. Although Winter and Spring seasons overlap, players should complete their Winter sport before participating in a Spring sport. Outside of school you can dedicate time to sports outside of the season if you so choose and it does not interfere with your sport for that current season. Your COMMITMENT will be the driving force for your success in lacrosse and in life, however versatility is a key component of being a successful lacrosse player. Skills from other sports are applicable to lacrosse, which is why we do not discourage you to play other sports. The more time you invest into any sport the better player you will become.
Because lacrosse is so new to the area, there are so many opportunities to play in college and get a scholarship. As our program continues to improve, we are getting increased exposure to the colleges and universities that offer lacrosse. We have several players who have gotten offers from schools in Florida and out of state recognition is not far off. We hope to continue gaining momentum and bringing prominence to this young program and want you to be a part of it. What are you waiting for? Be somebody who joins the likes of some of the great Palm Harbor players listed below.
