• ABOUT:  During practices the Academic Team usually gets in teams and uses questions from past competitions in order to help them practice for new competitions. The practices usually lasts from 2:45-3:00.

    An amazing outcome for these seven Falcons on 1/27:  Emma Beatty (senior), Allison Smith (Senior), Ella Stringer (Senior), James Barnett (Junior), Ethan Pestana (Junior), Noah Painter (Junior) and Levi Smith (Sophomore).  All contributed!!!!


    It was a nail biter to the end.  Dunedin led the majority of the match until the final round.  Clearwater pulled ahead.  Dunedin, determined to win at their home competition, commanded the team packet questions winning in the final two questions against Clearwater, Osceola and Pinellas Park High Schools.  


    Next up, semi finals and finals February 10th.  


    Thank you to our most wonderful judges:  Mr. Maffucci, Senora Quesada and Mr. Murphy.  Our facilitator of questions, Mrs. Murphy, keeps the event focused efficiently and eloquently professional.  


    Joining us in the grey sweater, is Mr. Victor Kluck.  He developed the Slammer System used nationwide in these competitions.  He moved to Dunedin and wished to observe our competition.  What a night to win!!!!.  He was so thrilled to be with us tonight.

    Dunedin won round 4 of Academic Team competition against Boca Ciega, Tarpon Springs, and Pinellas Park High Schools Thursday, Nov. 18th.

    James Barnett and Emma Beatty led the team with some amazing quick reaction solutions to math problems and answers to questions related to history, foreign language and science.  Our newest team members, Allison Smith, Ethan Pestana, Noah Painter and Ella Stringer took turns joining in on the excitement.
