• WHAT IS NAVIANCE?

    Naviance is a customizable planning portal for students and families including self-discovery assessments, goal-setting, college research tools, and career exploration resources.

    On Naviance, you can take a career interest inventory, complete a resume, search for colleges and explore a variety of post-secondary options.

    Logging into Naviance

      1. Log into Clever and select the Naviance icon. You can also type “Naviance” into the search bar.
      2. Once you are in Naviance, scroll down to see your “Important To Dos and Tasks” and begin working on those. You can also click on “Planner” in the top tool bar and select “Tasks” to see what is required for you to work on.

    2023-2024 NAVIANCE GRADE LEVEL TASKS

    Each semester, students are assigned a series of tasks within Naviance to help assist in post-secondary planning.  You will find the required tasks, listed by grade level, for the 2023-2024 school year.

      

    9th Grade

      1. Game Plan Survey (s1)
      2. Create, Edit, Review Course Plan (s1)
      3. Complete Achieve-works Personality (s2)

     

    These tasks will provide a reminder of Naviance, its purpose, and how they will use it throughout the course of their high school career. Students will identify their thoughts and feelings about transitioning to high school.  Students will also create, edit or review their 4 year course plan.

     

    10th Grade

      1. Complete Career Interest Profiler (s1)
      2. Add 3 Careers to My List (s1)
      3. Complete SuperMatch College Search (s2)
      4. Add 6 Colleges to My List (s2)

     

    These tasks will link students with careers that map to their traits and educational aspirations then they will favorite 3 careers. Students will also learn the importance of being exposed to the college search process, no matter which post-secondary option they have chosen ; students use the SuperMatch tool to find colleges that would be a fit for them; Students add at least 6 colleges to their “Colleges I’m Thinking About” list

     

    11th Grade

      1. My Post-Secondary Payment Plan (s1)

    Students learn the various ways to pay their way through college, including: financial aid at the state and federal level, scholarships, grants, loans, work-study, etc. Students learn how “real” college students have paid for college and create a plan for how they might pay for college based on what they learned and their My Post-Secondary Plan activity sheet. 

     

    12th grade

      1. eDocs Orientation Survey
      2. 2023-24 Senior Survey

    Students will review how to request a transcript using e-Docs for college, scholarship, military, etc. Students will create a Common App account then work to link their Common App account to Naviance.  Students will complete their senior exit survey to indicate college admissions decisions.
