    Sanderlin’s IB Primary Years Programme, for grades PreK-5, focuses on stimulating curiosity and inquiry in order to foster a spirit of discovery and enjoyment of learning. Through the 10 traits of the IB learner profile, this program’s intellectually challenging approach reflects real life by encouraging learning beyond traditional subjects with meaningful, in-depth inquiries into relevant global issues. Spanish, art, music and P.E. teachers promote imagination, communication, creativity and original thinking which enhances the IB grade level curriculum explorations. Students in this program have a feeder assurance into Sanderlin’s middle school magnet program.

    This program provides an intellectually challenging environment that encourages students to become critical and reflective thinkers in preparation for success in college, careers and citizenship in the 21st century global environment. This program’s transdisciplinary approach reflects real life by encouraging learning beyond traditional subjects with meaningful, in-depth inquiries into relevant global issues. Spanish, art, music and P.E. teachers promote imagination, communication, creativity and original thinking to help strengthen the IB curriculum framework. Students who attend this program in 5th grade will have a feeder pattern priority to attend the International Studies program at Largo Middle School.
