    Home Education is a parent-directed educational option that became effective by law in 1985. Parents have the freedom to determine their child's educational path and the plan for reaching their goals. Students have the opportunity to explore and learn at their own pace, in any location or at any time. More than 55,000 students in approximately 37,000 families are in Home Education Programs in Florida.

    Career Academies of Seminole is now offering home schooled students in Pinellas County the opportunity to co-enroll in the following career and technical programs on our campus:  Building & Constructional Technologies; Commercial & Digital Art Technology; Electricity, Gaming-Simulation, Animation, Programming & Visual Design;  Nursing; Solar Engineering and Veterinary Assisting.  Hands-on, problem and project based learning combined with academic applications will help equip students with job skill advantages right out of high school.  Students can earn industry certifications and technical college credit transferable to St. Petersburg College and Pinellas Technical College by the time they graduate from high school.  For more information please visit our website at  www.pcsb.org/cas.  For questions, shadowing and school tour appointments, please call (727) 545-6405.
